Holy Mary Mother of God! I sure am glad that's over - I had to pull off the highway to listen to the Prez address (some) of our school kids. Readin', writin' & 'rithmetic thrown out the window today - just so the first African-American President could talk to students (for precisely 18 minutes) about his hopes for our kids. Yes, our kids. He had the nerve to want to talk to OUR kids, in public schools (you know the ones we pay taxes for) about staying in school, doing their homework, taking responsiblity, etc. The audacity! Now another pothole in this road of lunacy - was the 'method of delivery'. (When the lunatics read his speech and found nothing controversial - they began to have issues with the m.o.d.) I know I drive on the left side and I drive one of those damn furen (foreign) cars - but really - Method. of. Delivery.???? Did I miss something?
I'm beginning to wonder if there is a light at the end of this tunnel - my check engine light is on and the fuel gauge is just to the right of empty. Time for a rest stop - so we can all just GIVE IT A REST!

I have been totally amazed at the response to a simple speech, an address to the school age children of this country and something done by both parties. And to complain because the teaching guide (that is guide, not ultimatum) has suggestions on how to use the speech to get the students to think! How Facist!
Why not stand on an aircraft carrier in a flight suit and proclaim that the war that will never end...is over? That speech was shown in schools. Nice.
I agree. The speech was just a typical "study, try your best" etc. etc. talk. Nothing to get excited about. Those that thought it would be some kind of "brain washing" attempt are probably kinda dense. I am not a big fan of President Obama, in fact no fan at all, but people need to quit being so silly.
